Here at WeldCore we train 5 days a week for 4 hrs. a day.

Community college welding programs train between 3 and 6 hrs. a week (compared to our 20hrs. a week) and take anywhere from 3 months to 2 years and include general study courses like English composition.

WeldCore’s goal is train you in the things that matter without the fluff and get you out to work FAST!

Core MIG is our staple training program. It teaches students how to read blue prints, weld symbols, MIG weld and pass a welding test that will certify their welding skills.

This course lasts one month, Monday through Friday for 4 hrs. a day, or 20 days of class.

We offer daytime classes that are from 8 am. to 12 pm. and evening classes that are from 5 pm. to 9 pm. More info below.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Curriculum do you teach?

We teach the American Welding Society (AWS) Fundamentals of Welding. The AWS is the industry standard for all things welding, from code to processes. Each student will have an online license for 1 year from activation to complete modules and earn additional AWS Certificates, in addition to the Fundamentals of Welding book and Lab Manual.

Is there homework?

Yes, there is homework—but it’s optional, and honestly worth doing. The AWS online portal gives you extra quizzes on everything we cover, plus you can stack up real AWS certificates. Those aren’t just paper—they tell employers you’re not just a welder, you’re someone who actually gets the theory and safety behind it. That stuff separates you from the crowd.

Do you offer make up days?

At this time we do not offer make up days. Under extreme circumstances we will make exceptions, there is an attendance grade.

Hands on Training

We know what it takes to learn how to weld, good instructors and hands on welding. We spend most of our time in the welding lab under the hood, learning, experimenting, and making each weld better then the last one.

How hard is the weld test?

Here at WeldCore, we offer three different AWS D1.1 (code) weld test’s that can be taken in different positions, but don’t worry you will be ready to pass with confidence!

What happens if I fail the weld test?

Don’t worry, we are here to see you succeed. We offer re-tests, and your first one is free.
